Trying for Trinkets and Hoping for a Hoard

After spending a part of my weekend away with Lady Rose watching Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio I am inspired to do something I used to do a long time ago which is enter sweepstakes. I told my hubby that, with the aid of my laptop, it is something I can easily spend an hour or so a day doing, while we watch TV and possibly turn that into a pay off by the end of the year.

I’m focusing on sweepstakes that limit to 1 entry per mailing address, and am being somewhat selective. I am only entering drawings for things that we would actually use, enjoy, or be able to give as gifts. I’m not entering contests with the hopes of selling the prize if I win.

I had some small wins back about 6 years ago or so when I was doing this regularly. The most memerable, at the moment, being a huge inflatable TV chair with a cup holder and everything that my daughter enjoyed. Unfortunately we had a new kitten at the time who was not yet declawed and well …. there went the inflatable chair.

Anyhow ….

I found a site http://www.online-sweepstakes.com that not only lists ongoing sweepstakes, but lets you search categories by date ending, prize offered, etc. It is also very clear how many entries you can send (1 total, 1 daily, etc.) and there is a forum where people post with a section for the “winner’s circle”. Last year their posters won over $5million in prizes. I would love to win even a teeny tiny fraction of that and to hear that other people won because I/we sent them there. I am now “known” there as mamakelly as well.
