This is a great list. I keep another blog for young people interested in writing and YA. I’m going to check out #1 and #5 to see about doing a post on those. Thanks for the tip.
As to #9. Don’t I wish. There is so much we need to go through and get rid of. *sigh* ‘Course when you pull out that toy they haven’t played with in forever, suddenly it’s the coolest machine and how could you possible consider throwing it away.
Those are such great ideas!
Thanks for stopping by my site! I love your ideas for summer. I’m bookmarking your blog! I’ll be back! Have a great Thursday.
Know what else I LOVE to do during the summer? Go ice skating! The cold air feels SO GOOD after summer’s heat.
I used to live near an indoor rink that had a leaky roof, so it’d get warm in the arena. I’d skate in shorts; it was amazing.
Happy TT and may summer vacation be kind to you!
I think you have lucky kids! And thank you for #1. I’ll be sure to register my son’s books.
Excellent list. We gave each of our girls a camera to take pictures. I’m waiting on my oldest to finish the film so we can take them and get them developed. She’s really quite good.
The rest of these ideas I’m going to give to my husband for this summer.
Some great links. My daughter is only four, but I’m sure we will do quite a few of these. The recipes were my favorite. Dont’ you just love to eat our children’s creations?
Um, never mind, you don’t have to answer that. Hehe
Great list! My girls are 9 and 7 and I know we’ll need to have some good afternoon and weekend activities to keep them entertained…. and us sane!
these are all great ideas. I am going to save this 13 for when I need ideas. The youngest two do not want to go to camp this year. ACK!
It is so great of you to provide all the links to help us w. our ideas. THANKS!
All great ideas!
DS loves baking and photography. He’s also just learning how to read.
Ahhh, great list, and a poetry challenge! What a wonderful idea. I love the idea of encouraging children to read poetry! And of course, reading in general, anything, everything. The stargazing is a great idea, too!
Happy TT, and thanks for visiting my blog!
What fun activities! I love blowing bubbles!
And stargazing and nature tripping… I will read your 101 activities.
Thank you for visiting my site, mama kelly!
This is my first T13 and I would love to join more in the following weeks.

I love your list so much that I put it in a special blog about TT along with 2 other TT-ers.
I bet those Moms out there would love to read this list.
Hope you like it.
Im a big fan of the slice and bake, thank you very much
This is a great list! Things I definitely need to keep in mind since school is out tomorrow, and I’m doing a lot of work from home this summer! Happy TT!
We started stargazing with our kids when they were small. We have 2 telescopes and several pairs of astronomy binoculars. The kids just love it…it really is fascinating!!!
Very cool ideas!!! Happy TT

This is a great list…I found alot of ideas for things to do this summer.
Glad I found your blog.. I’ll be back.
This was very helpful for me since today is the last day of school for my kids. I was nervous about what I’m going to do with them all summer. I’m certain I will have my oldest doing the Poetry Challenge. It’ll be great for his writing skills.
That’s a great list of things to do, and not just for children. Happy and thanks for visiting mine.
