A Brief Note - A Beltane Outing
I have worked 17 days straight and tomorrow I am taking off. So far the weatherman’s prediction for tomorrow is looking relatively clear. At least clear enough for us to feel comfortable planning a trip to New Hope, PA. The plan is to walk, browse my favorite Witchy stores as well as the shops that the kids and Hubby enjoy. Add to that feeding ducks and lunch out (generally we share some appetizers) and a good day should be had by all.
Granted we are not attending a Pagan gather, we are not holding ritual nor are we dancing around a May Pole but we are spending the day together as a family and frankly that’s all I need right now in terms of a celebration. We are trying very hard to take one day at a time and be grateful for the days that are easier than the others. I am hoping that 2009 will find life more stable and in turn find us more able to start getting involved in Pagan gatherings and SCA events.
We have received our tax refund and our stimulus money but we are not planning on going crazy. We have too many bills to make that feasible. However, there are a couple of books I may be adding to the bookshelf, both because I’ve been meaning to add them to my collection for years and because they will come in handy with some writing that Hubby is doing right now. Granted I can get them cheaper on Amazon but I do like to give my money to individually owned businesses when I can even when it means paying a little more.
Additionally, as we have nearly depleted our supply of incense I am sure we will be coming home with a lot. Hubby and I burn it every night. Other than that I am planning on picking up some candles (with the intention of getting off my butt and doing some actual ritual and spellwork in the coming months) and perhaps a birthday gift (if I can find one) for my Elder daughter’s best friend.
Wish us blue skies and fluffy white clouds.
Blessings to you and yours

Have fun!!!
I LOVE New Hope!!! My favorite store there is definitely Gypsy Heaven.
I’m in PA…where are you from?
Your wish is granted….
Thank you for the wishes. We had a lovely day, the sun never broke through and it stayed gray but it didnt so much as drizzle until we were in the car headed home.
