Yesterday Today and Tomorrow - Sick Hubby & Family Life
Well GamerDude is sick, officially and beyond any doubt. It is either some kind of virus or (as is my own guess) an upper respiratory infection. I’m betting on the later myself.
It all started Tuesday night when my normal frequent throughout the night wakings were even more frequent and accompanied by either the sensation of the bed bouncing or the sound of moaning from beside me. I wrote it off at the time as a bad back flare. It was only at 5am when he got out of bed, succumbing to the lure of Advil I woke up enough to coherantly ask him what was going on to be told he was sick as opposed to in pain.
Yesterday I left him out a paper cup and the canister of salt to use for gargling and the largest mug me have with a note reminding him to drink lots of tea. I came home from work with OJ and Chinese soup.
Today I will be calling and setting him up with an appointment at the doctor as Im pretty sure he is in need of an antibiotic.
Today I will most likely be needing to leave work early to accomodate said appointment.
Tonight will find me and Princess Nibbles (who is almost over an infected boo-boo on her elbow but showing signs of catching what he daddy has) starting, working on, and finishing a poster on Argentina that I forgot about.
Tonight will find Princess Nibbles, the Elder (newly renamed for blogging purposes as Miss Artistic), and the BFF working on a secret Mother’s Day project in the garage.
Tonight will find the Elder’s BFF over again. She is over our house for dinner (and the hanging out that follows it) more nights than she is not. It is somewhat annoying to be completely honest. But, she is a true friend to my daughter willing to be both supportive and to cry BS when appropriate. So I swallow my annoyance and treat her like a 3rd kid.
Ah but tomorrow my friends, tomorrow (if nothing unforseen occurs) will find me leaving my house at about 6-ish to head down to Atlantic City with a friend for a few hours. I am very excited!!

PS
Bear in mind that anything that is drinkable or edible can be a healing “brew” whether you make it yourself, purchase it at a store, or pick it up at your local eating establishment. It is simply a matter of intent.
Pouring a glass of juice for a sick family member? After it is poured hold in it your hands and “see” it glowing with healing light.
Serving some soup? After it is dished out stir it clockwise 9 times chanting (silently or aloud) something along the following:
From pot to dish
A healing brew
May good health
Be brought to you
I drive all illness
from my sight
May you be well
by tomorrow’s light
