Pagan Music Friday - Kore Chant - She Changes Everything She Touches

Recently Lady Rose wrote about a powerful dream she had and closed by saying:

“As I grow into acceptance of love, I am experiencing new awareness and understanding, and I am able to feel and connect more deeply with others. Accepting myself as worthy and loved changes every aspect of my life, thoughts, and emotions, sorta of like the line from the chant “Everything she touches changes…””

The chant she is referring to is the Kore Chant, written by Starhawk and Lauren Liebling, and is one of my favorite chants.

However, there is a longer version of the chant which includes my personal favorite line ”everything lost is found again, in a new form, in a new way, everything hurt is healed again, in a new time, in a new day.” It is this line which seems to speak to the wonderful healing and transformation that Lady Rose is experiencing. It is this line which speaks screams to what I want for myself. It is this line which speaks to all of us that there is no pain that is too old, or too deep to be healed.

It also speaks to the fact that it is never too late.  There is always another spring in which our “sleeping seeds can awaken“.  That we all have power, that we can work great change in our lives.

Healing our old hurts and learning to love ourselves can impact every part of our lives.  Making the time for ritual and inner work can be an invaluable tool in this process.  It doesn’t have to take a lot of time.  Take a few minutes from your day to light a candle and sit in meditation or prayer.  Play pagan chants in the car on the way to or from work (and sing along).  Shower and use sea salt to scrub away negativity.  Choose an oil blend associated with a particular desire and use it in place of your usual perfume or cologne.
