Mama Kelly                 Lady Rose

Mama Kelly and Lady Rose have been friends for nearly 20 years.

They have participated in ritual together many times and Lady Rose is the Priestess who initiated Mama Kelly through 3rd degree.

A Blog of 2 Witches is more than just an online journal. Lady Rose & Mama Kelly share their daily lives as wives, moms, kitchen witches, domestic goddesses and their cauldron full of information related to modern neo-paganism, wicca, rituals, insights, wisdom and silliness, and other magical goodies.

We share the books we’ve read, the movies we watch, TV shows we enjoy. We share thoughts about Paganism in the media and search for references to Paganism in the news.

We talk about our kids, our families, our jobs, our frustrations, even our hobbies and obsessions.

If you know of a blog or a link that belongs on our blogroll or in our Pagan Blog Directory; if there is a topic youd like to see, or a review you’d like to read please let us know.. Actually if there’s anything you feel should be on this site send us a request.

Blessed Be

P.S. Oh and leave us comments, they make us happy.

Update Dec. 2007
We’ve added an extension to our blog: Enchanted Crafts - showcasing our creative arts and crafts projects, ideas, and other magical creations from our enchanted cauldron.

  12. I am loving the site, and seeking some help. I am attempting to make my first dandelion wine and am wondering if any of you have made it before, if you can send some tips my way. Also where do I get a cake of yeast! Much love and goddess bless.

  13. I am so grateful for stumbling upon your blog. I’m not an avid blogger type of person. I too have a Ms. Angst; who draws more than anything else and loves anime. I also have two other minkeys that like to challenge me on a daily basis. Thank you so much for sharing your lives with us. I don’t feel so alone. :) Hope you had a wonderful Beltane.

    Blessings,
    Wyntyr

  14. Welcome Wyntyr …

I hope that you will visit and comment often. It is so nice to meet so many other parents through this blog.

We have yet to officially celebrate Beltane as my week thus far has had me emotionally tied up regarding a college final.
    Hope yours was wonderful!

    Blessings

    Mama Kelly

I have never made homemade wine … but I found this info online:

To convert cake yeast to instant yeast:
For 1 packed tablespoon cake yeast use 2 teaspoons instant yeast or 2-1/2 teaspoons active dry

The other forms of yeast are more easily found in your local supermarket.

    Blessings

  16. Hi Mama and Rose,

A beautiful blog - I’m happy to add you to my link list. You do a great service to neo-pagans by including rituals and discussing everyday life as witches. No doubt people who are solitaries, like myself, feel more connected after visiting here. Thank you!

    Lady’s Blessings,
    Morgan

  17. Morgan,

  19. Thanks C.G. for the compliment! Blessed Be, Lady Rose and Mama Kelly

  20. Hi again..! Blessed be.
Oh, by the way, my name is Carlos, i´m from Costa Rica, a blessed small country in Central America. Forgive me, if i`m a little bit curious, but i would like to know how you celebrate sabbats and esbats, which plants you use for remedies and other preparations. Our celebrations and beliefs are very similar, but seasons and plants are very different between our countries. If you are interested in meeting new people, and would like to contact pagan people from Costa Rica, just mail me (crgrafix@gmail.com). As a Pagan, i think we have too much to share, don´t let the distance separate us. We Pagans are few, so we must be united.

May our loved Lady and Lord bless you.
Thank, Lady Rose, Thanks, Mama Kelly.

Pd:I´m asking for permission to keep visiting your lovely blog. I would like to know if i´m welcome or not.
    -and forgive my terrible english..!-

  21. You are always welcome Carlos. Do you have a website or blog of your own? If so please post an address so we can pay you a visit.

As a busy wife and mom, who works outside of the home and attends college classes at night my rites and rituals fall more into the category of lighting a candle, visiting a farmer’s market to “harvest” vegetables, or attending a public Pagan event.

How do you mark the holidays?

    Blessed be!!

    Mama Kelly

  22. Hello and merry meet, Mama Kelly.
Hope you´re very fine. Sorry, i don´t have a blog or website. Usually i use only my gmail account to send and receive messages. Due to my work as a freelance graphic designer, and my work at night at a call center, classes, girlfriend, and pagan related activities, i don´t have too much time left for attending a web page or even a blog.
Talking about rituals, i´m in the same situation. A candle, some scented oil and my best prayers to the Gods are my “mini rituals”. I have a full ritual only in special situations, as the season celebrations, within the pagan cirle i belong to.
About “harvest business”, i have my personal magic garden (my mother loves gardening, so i tell her what to plant, so i always have fresh plants and spices for my magic recipes. Do you know you´re lucky?: A public Pagan event in Costa Rica? Unthinkable..! Costa Rica´s society is very catholic and intolerant, Pagan means “satanic” so we´re labeled as weird and evil people. Pretty sad, right?.
About marking holidays, we use the same 4-season celebrations you have. The difference is as follows: we have 2 seasons only (dry season and rainy season). There´s no winter, or fall in Costa Rica. I could say we have a permanent summer or spring season. Talking about other matters, i guess you´re waiting (with a little bit of impatience) to read “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”..me too..! But i will have to wait a little more for the spanish version :0(
If you want, you can write to my email adress, so i could send you a few photos of my country, me and my circle, and some handbooks about plants and natural remedies.

    Ups, i have to go..
Blessed be, and best wishes :o)
    Carlos.

Pd. Again, please forgive my terrible english.

  25. Hi there.
i do come around, but don’t always know how to comment as I am not alwyas familiar with the PC-ness of the Pagan world. though it does interest me. I am hapy that you do come around to visit me though and leave your insights from your own vantage point on the topic of adoption. Your opinions are always welcome and I would beintersted to hear more.

  26. Elizabeth …

Your comments, and even questions, would always be welcome here.

I hope you worry less about being PC and just jump right in on the conversation, even if you disagree with us.

    Mama Kelly
